Ryanair adds nine new destinations to summer schedule at Stansted Airport

Ryanair has announced the launch of nine new routes from Stansted Airport, including daily services to Copenhagen, Naples and Nice.

Other new destinations in Ryanair’s extended schedule for the coming summer season at Stansted include Beziers, Cagliari, Clermont, Grenoble, Nimes and Strasbourg.

There will also be increased frequencies on routes to Bergerac, Biarritz, Bordeaux, Carcasonne, Dinard, La Rochelle, Lamezia, Limoges, Lourdes, Marseille, Perpignan, Porto and Toulouse.

David O’Brien, Ryanair’s chief commercial officer, said: “We are pleased to announced a new growth deal with Manchester Airports Group at London Stansted Airport, which enables Ryanair to add nine new London Stansted routes this summer, including a daily flight to Naples and a three times daily service to Copenhagen, increase frequency on 13 existing routes and deliver over 20m annual customers this year.

“Having grown our London Stansted traffic from 13.2m in 2013 to over 20m this year, this new deal will allow Ryanair to continue to expand our route network at Stansted, our largest European base.”

Stansted chief executive Andrew Cowan added: “Stansted sits at the heart of one of the UK’s most innovative and rapidly developing growth corridors between London and Cambridge, so the new destinations and increase in flights on key routes will offer passengers and businesses even more choice at great value.”

Ryanair also revealed yesterday that it is finalising deals with two long-haul carriers to create a “seamless” transfer experience.

Passengers taking Ryanair flights which connect with Aer Lingus and Norwegian services will be able to book their whole trip with the long-haul airlines and have their baggage automatically moved between planes.
