Home Bargains to open Clacton store on Saturday creating up to 50 jobs

Upto 50 jobs have been created at a Clacton’s first Home Bargains store which opens this Saturday.

The £500,000 store at the Clacton Factory Outlet comes as the centre has made its car p[ark larger for the opening.

The 18,500 sq ft unit is sited near retailers including Marks & Spencer and JD Sports.

It will offer homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food.

Saturday’s 10am opening will feature a special appearance from Stuart the Minion from the films Minions and Despicable Me, who will arrive at 11am.

oe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “Clacton Factory Outlet will be a great location for us and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.” Rionne Ramsey, spokeswoman for the Clacton Factory Outlet, said the new car park should make parking easier and more pleasant for shoppers.

Home Bargains was also expected to “increase footfall here at the Clacton factory Outlet” and “have a positive impact on all the stores,” she added.
